COUNCIL - Number of street trees is increased from 66,000 to 80,000

During the 2023-24 financial year, Council or Council contractors planted 1810 new trees. During the 2024-25 financial year, 966 trees had been planted by November. Council has engaged a consultant to survey Boroondara's public trees. Ongoing tree management contracts will include additional provisions to collect data about trees. Changes in tree numbers will be reported in future years.
